1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how OneBit Software (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles data in connection with the Quantum Content Processing API (the “Service”). OneBit Software is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about our data practices.

2. Overview of Our Service
Quantum Content Processing API is a self-hosted document and media processing solution that you deploy within your own Azure subscription. The Service operates entirely within your Azure environment and under your control.
3. Data Collection and Storage
We do not collect, store, or retain any data processed through the Service.
The Quantum Content Processing API:
- Does not collect personal information from end users
- Does not store uploaded documents or media files
- Does not retain processed content or extracted text
- Does not maintain user accounts or user databases
- Processes documents transiently in memory and returns results immediately
All document processing occurs within your Azure environment, in the region you select during deployment.
4. How the Service Works
When you use the Quantum Content Processing API:
- Document Processing: You send documents to the API endpoint deployed in your Azure subscription. The API processes the document (extracts text, performs OCR, converts formats, etc.) and returns the results to you. Documents are processed in memory and are not persisted to disk or storage.
- AI Features (Optional): Some features (document summarization, audio transcription, image description) require AI services. You must provide your own API keys to OpenAI or Azure AI Foundry. When you use these features:
- The API forwards necessary content to the AI service you’ve configured
- Data transmission occurs directly between your deployed instance and your AI service
- We do not intercept, store, or access this data
- Your use of third-party AI services is governed by their respective privacy policies and terms
5. Customer Responsibility
As the Service is deployed in your Azure subscription, you are the data controller and are responsible for:
- All data processed through your instance of the Service
- Compliance with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Security configurations and access controls for your API instance
- Managing API keys and authentication for your deployment
- Privacy policies and notices to your end users
- Your use of any third-party AI services you configure
6. Third-Party Services
The Service does not share data with OneBit Software or any third parties. However, if you enable AI features, you are responsible for:
- Providing API keys to your chosen AI service provider (OpenAI or Azure AI Foundry)
- Understanding how your AI service provider handles data
- Reviewing and complying with their privacy policies and terms of service
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of:
- OpenAI: https://openai.com/privacy
- Microsoft Azure AI: https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement
7. Data Security
Since the Service operates within your Azure subscription:
- You control all security configurations
- You can implement Azure security features (network isolation, encryption, access controls, etc.)
- You manage authentication and authorization to the API
- Data remains within your chosen Azure region
OneBit Software does not have access to your deployed instance or any data processed through it.
8. GDPR Compliance
The Quantum Content Processing API is designed to be GDPR-compliant:
- We do not process personal data on behalf of customers
- No data is stored or retained by the Service
- All processing occurs within your controlled environment
- You maintain complete control as the data controller
9. Data Subject Rights
Since OneBit Software does not collect or store any personal data:
- We cannot provide access to data (as none is stored)
- We cannot delete data (as none is retained)
- We cannot port data (as none is collected)
Requests regarding data processed through your instance should be directed to you as the data controller.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. As we do not collect any data, this policy applies universally to all users.
11. International Data Transfers
The Service operates entirely within your Azure subscription and selected region. No data is transferred to OneBit Software or outside your chosen deployment environment.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Posting the updated policy with a new “Last Updated” date
- Sending notice through the Azure Marketplace listing
Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
